Grooby Archives claims to be ‘the largest shemale site in the world’ and gives statistics to back it up. According to the tour, Grooby-Archives.com has worked with 4,482 models on 920,000 photos and 5,100 videos ever since it was created. The numbers are certainly impressive and the preview content is top notch. Though you always have to be careful with any adult entertainment website, as you could get your fingers burnt by one that doesn’t deliver on its promises. The Site

After logging into the member’s area of Grooby-Archives.com, I wondered to myself if I had stumbled upon the wrong part of the site. Thankfully, I was relieved to discover that the very basic design and lack of teaser porn on the homepage was accounted for. A quick, simple message said that due to the size of the library, Grooby had decided to keep things very simple and all about the porn – they certainly aren’t kidding either, the site is almost empty. Just six links are provided for navigation; pictures, videos, updates, forums, FAQs and finally, external links.

I’ve always loved forums and when you find a site that calls itself the largest shemale smut hub around, you expect a lot of people to be in on it. The message boards of GroobyArchives were sadly unresponsive when I visited, although I’m told they are indeed active and conversation covers everything from last night’s ball game to a famous tranny from the 90s. Grooby Archives gives members about eight new pieces of content per week, although it doesn’t appear to update with much video nowadays.

The Content

When I site says it’s an archive, you expect a hell of a lot of porn. In total, I counted 5,120 videos (averaging 13 minutes in length each) as well as 9,176 picture sets (each containing around 90 images per gallery). The numbers are not what they are in the tour, although I’m guessing there’s a good reason why and in any case, when you have that much pornography, what does it matter if you’re a little off? Grooby Archives is true to its form and delivers the transsexual pornography is says it will. Obviously, due to the archive nature of the site, it’s a pick ‘n’ mix of genres and models with various niches being adopted throughout the extent of the catalog.

Quality is always important and nothing short of praise can be given for this site. The formats do range quite a bit, but on the whole, the media was of a better standard when compared to other sites in the same niche. For instance, the largest video format on offer was a 720p HD 1280 x 720 pixel WMV with a generous 3.3 Mb/s bitrate – something seldom seen in sites with this much content. Pictures, on the other hand, are always 1280 x 855 pixels although sadly, no zipped photo sets are available!

Final Thoughts

Everything about this site was great until I took a look at the picture content. You have to be reasonable – if you run an archive site with hundreds of thousands of pictures, you have to allow users to download the sets in ZIP files. Although I don’t think it’s a deal breaker, it would be nice to see Grooby-Archives.com supply its members with adequate content download features. Elsewhere, the HD is good and the site design does what you’d expect it to. A nifty place to get your hands on a lot of transgender smut – worth a visit and quite honestly, joining is not out of the question.
